Threshold
Classic high/low trip. Condition on the live value (e.g. value > 80). Optional recover expression adds hysteresis so it does not chatter at the edge.
Anomaly (z-score)
Statistical outlier check. Compares the live value to its own recent rolling window β alarms when it sits too many standard deviations away from the mean.
Rate of change
Spike / sudden drop detector. Alarms when the value jumps more than Max Ξ inside the window β useful for step changes a plain threshold might miss.
Flatline (stuck signal)
Dead or frozen sensor check. Alarms when the value barely moves for the whole window β classic stuck-bit / lost-comms symptom.
Golden profile
Process fingerprint. Compares live values to a recorded known-good envelope (p05βp95 Β± margin). Record envelopes under Baselines first.
Remaining useful life
Trend-to-failure estimate. Fits a short trend and alarms when projected time to hit the failure limit falls below the horizon.
